Extra-Curricular Activities
The College has a strong expectation that all teaching staff will play a part in the wide-ranging activities offered to our students.
We want you to have the opportunity to share your interests, abilities and enthusiasms with the students. A great variety of opportunity is already provided but it is always possible to extend this according to personal interests.

Student Exchange Opportunities

| Central Coast Grammar School: | Since 1991 Wairarapa College has been establishing increasingly close links with Central Coast Grammar School in Gosford, some two hours north of Sydney. In the past the connections have revolved around choirs and orchestral visits and a variety of sports including hockey, basketball, netball, rugby and soccer sending teams to compete as part of an overseas tour. Now we have formulated far closer links so that Year 10 (Form 4) students will participate in a matched exchange for a term. These same opportunities will be available in the future. |

| Wakamatsu High School: | A number of our students are hosted by Wakamatsu High School as part of developing a sister school relationship. We provide the same hospitality to our Japanese visitors on return trips. In the future Wairarapa College students will continue to host and be hosted by their counterparts in Japan. |
