Location

The Hostel is an integral part of Wairarapa College and is located at the side of a large sports field opposite the school. The quiet picturesque grounds being situated in the middle of Masterton make it a very comfortable and convenient place as it is only a few minutes walk to town and local eateries, and Clareville turf is located about 10k south of Masterton.

Accommodation

Accommodation is in the form of dormitories and flats. College House has the capacity to sleep 175 people. There are two dormitories which sleep 18, two which sleep 22 and four dormitories, which sleep 14 people. We would require at least one adult to sleep in these dormitories with the children. There are also six flats, which sleep 5 people per flat. Each flat has its own toilet, shower, fridge, toaster, jug and sink.

Meals

Meals are included in the price.

Sample Menu:

• Breakfast – Continental. Cereals, Toast, Spreads, Tea, Coffee, Drinking Chocolate.
• Packed Lunch – e.g. Filled Rolls, Fruit, Biscuits.
• Dinner – Schnitzel, Roast Potatoes, Two Veg.

Recreation Facilities

There is a common room, which houses a 1200mm x1200mm projection TV screen with Sky, DVD, Video and Home Theatre, also a 29-inch TV. Adjoining this is a games room with pool tables, air hockey and table tennis tables. College House has its own sand volleyball court, tennis court, trampoline, one on one basketball court and mini gym.

A practice mini turf is located at the College and will be available to teams free of charge.

Other Facilities

There are two card phones located in the dormitories as well as a TV situated at the top of the stairs next to the upstairs dorms. Two mini vans are also available for hire at an extra cost.

You will need to supply your own bedding i.e. sleeping bag, pillows etc and towels.

These charges do not cover insurance for loss of personal belongings. Any damages incurred by the Hostel during your stay will need to be paid for by your group.

There are certain regulations that we are required to adhere to. Your group will need to be made aware of fire evacuation procedures, thus we would ask your entire group to meet with a member of our Management staff on the first night to be briefed on such issues. Your group will also be required to sign a damage liability form.

College House does not allow groups to bring alcohol or consume alcohol on the school premises. College house is also a Smoke Free Zone.

A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 will be required to confirm your booking.
