Principal

Educated at Waikato University and Auckland College of Education. Taught Economics, Maths and Geography at two Waikato Schools before moving to Mount Albert Grammar School as HOD Commerce and later Deputy Principal. Appointed Principal of Wairarapa College in July 2003.

Deputy Principal

Educated in Christchurch at Canterbury University majoring in Economics. He has taught at various South Island Schools before being appointed HOD Commerce at Wairarapa College in 1994. He was appointed Deputy Principal in 2003, and he is currently teaching Economics and Accounting. Major responsibility is the day to day organisation of Wairarapa College.

Deputy Principal

Educated at Victoria University. She has taught English in various schools around New Zealand and was Head of the Language and Languages Faculty at Feilding High School for ten years. She was appointed Assistant Principal at Wairarapa College in April 2004 and is responsible for Day Relief, Professional Development and NZQA Liaison. In 2005 she was appointed Deputy Principal. She teaches in the English Department.

Assistant Principal

Educated at Otago and Massey Universities. He has taught Physical Education and worked as a Guidance Counsellor in a number of schools around New Zealand. He was appointed Assistant Principal in 2003 and he is currently teaching Transition. He has overall responsibility for Year 9 Management.

Assistant Principal

Educated at Massey University. She has taught English and Media Studies at Tararua College and Palmerston North Girls’ High School. She has also worked as a Dean and a Guidance Counsellor. She was Head of English and Media Studies at Tararua College for five years and appointed Assistant Principal in Term 4 2005. She teaches in the English Department and is responsible for Year 10 management.

Guidance Counsellor

Educated at Wellington College of Education and Massey University. She has worked as a Primary School Teacher in many North Island schools and as a Guidance and Learning Unit Teacher and RTLB in Masterton. She graduated as a Counsellor in 2004. She is responsible for the Guidance network within the college and oversees the school wide mentoring, leadership and peer support programmes. She is also available for the individual counseling of students and families.
