Student Council Slave Auction
The Wairarapa College Student Council is a group of students with an interest in making the school and the wider community a better place. This group is elected each year by the student body and is made up of students from Years 10 to 13, across all the houses. The Student Council meets at least twice a term. They try to provide support to students in any way they can and make Wairarapa College a better place.
The Student Council organises school dances and also lunch time and fund raising events. They have supported a huge number of organisations, individuals and teams over the years and currently sponsor an underprivileged child in Tanzania. They have recently contributed a substantial sum of money towards the building of a new hall for the school.
The Wairarapa College Student Council is a motivated, hard working group in the college who consult with, inform and represent the wider student body.
