School Uniform
The following is the official school uniform approved by the Board of Trustees of Wairarapa College. The Board has its own Uniform Shop, selling the complete uniform for both Junior and Senior Boys and Girls. All students are expected to wear the correct seasonal uniform.
The Uniform shop has a good size range of uniform. However, if you are not sure about your child's sizing please ring or call in to see Sharyn as special orders can take up to 12 weeks to have made. This applies mainly to new Year 9 students or to the change of season.
Summer uniforms are worn from Labour Day through to Easter, though there is flexibility during the two week changeover period. If it is cold, students may wear complete winter uniform.
All articles of clothing must be named with either name tags or embroidered names.
Waicol Uniform Shop
The Uniform Shop is situated in the car park from the Cornwall Street entrance to Wairarapa College.

Senior Girls' (Years 12 and 13)

PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Monogrammed “Waicol” or plain navy shorts and polo shirts in House Colours.
Swimwear: One piece.
RAINWEAR
- School jacket with monogram, available only from the Wairarapa College Uniform Shop.
- Plain navy or dark blue jacket (no brand name on jacket) also available from the Wairarapa College Uniform Shop.
- Extra-curricular jacket. Dark blue with monogram only available from the Wairarapa College Uniform Shop.
No student, at any level, will be permitted to wear such items as bush shirts, swandris, denim jeans, army or multi-coloured jackets.
OPTIONAL EXTRAS
College scarves and umbrellas are also available from Wairarapa College Uniform Shop.
JEWELLERY
Students are permitted to wear only plain gold or silver studs, one in each ear, and a wrist watch. Visible body piercing and tattoos are not permitted.
HAIR
Hair must be in the natural range of hair colours. Outlandish hair styles or multi-colourings are not permitted. Hair must be of reasonable length. Hair must be neat and clean.
Senior Boys' Uniform (Year 12 and 13)
